What I like about my work
I enjoy assisting clients achieve their goals, whether that be setting up a new business, buying or selling an existing business or commercial property, or moving into their first home. Making deals happen gives me great satisfaction and I relish the challenge of solving legal problems.
What I’ve done in the past
I have worked for large law firms on both sides of the Tasman and have experience in all areas of commercial and property law. Before joining Anderson Lloyd, I had successfully set up and run my own firm in Queenstown.
My approach to working with my clients
Having run my own business, I understand the commercial pressures on clients so I try to alleviate these pressures as much as possible. I provide commercially astute advice in a timely manner and don’t mind clients leaning on me for support when needed. I’m not afraid to give my opinion on something when asked.
What I enjoy at work
I am thrilled to have joined Anderson Lloyd and am really looking forward to being part of a vibrant and progressive firm. Being a lawyer has its challenges but I still look forward to getting in to work each day as I know that that day will be wildly different from yesterday!
What I enjoy outside of work
I am a keen golfer and skier although both have been suffering lately as our latest project has been renovating an historic Queenstown Villa, “Laurel Bank”, back to its former glory. I am now very handy with a drop saw and hammer!
What I enjoy about living in the South Island
I leave my house and am on the chair lift 20 minutes later…it doesn’t get much better than that! The local golf courses are all stunning and we have the NZ Open in our own backyard! Also, South Island people are good people with great values. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!
